Nature for MA Signature Collection Volunteer

Overview:
Join volunteers from The Trustees and other MA conservation organizations in collecting signatures to support adding Nature for MA to the 2026 MA Ballot!

Nature for Massachusetts is a large and diverse coalition of environmental, conservation, and community organizations and national corporations that seek to create a dedicated, annual revenue stream to conserve water, land, urban greenspace, outdoor recreation access, and wildlife in Massachusetts.

We’re urging the State Legislature to pass the Nature for All bill (H.901/S.2571) to help address the threats we face. But if lawmakers don’t act, we’re preparing to bring this issue directly to voters through a 2026 ballot question. That’s why we’re collecting signatures to put the Protect Water and Nature Initiative on the ballot, and we need your help this spring to get past the final hurdle.

To put this question in front of voters, we collect signatures in two phases: The coalition already submitted over 90,000 voter signatures last December. This spring, we need to collect 21,000 more signatures between May 8 and June 7. The Trustees has a goal of collecting 1,700 of those signatures.

Help us reach our goal and be part of the movement! We've lined up several fun options for dates and events to help collect signatures. Easy online training is provided in advance.

Trustees volunteers will be collecting signatures across Trustees Properties between May 8th and June 7th. Below we have shared a list of locations, dates, and times for signature collection. Please join us wherever and whenever you can to collect signatures to get this important initiative on the 2026 ballot!

Training and Support:
Volunteers will receive training from Trustees staff on the bill and initiative as well as how to properly collect signatures. Volunteers should be comfortable talking to visitors, but do not need prior knowledge or experience for this role.
Time Commitment Needed: Sign up for one date or sign up for many!
