Events & Public Programs - Powisset Farm

Opportunity Overview:
Do you enjoy interacting with the public, making them feel welcome and comfortable?  Would you like to be involved in community farm days, seasonal or holiday celebrations, and other events at Powisset Farm? We are currently recruiting for motivated and talented volunteers to assist us during our Events and Programs throughout the year.  Come enjoy this amazing property and help support farm events!

Reports to: Engagement Manager, other Trustees staff

Benefits:

  • Connecting and networking with like-minded staff, visitors and volunteers 
Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to the following):
  • Assist with set up and clean up, including the ability to lift tables and chairs
  • Welcome visitors, check in guests, answer questions about the Farm
  • Communicate effectively with staff and other volunteers
  • Sign-up for this event
Qualifications:
  • Adhere to safe food service protocol and personal hygiene requirements
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Have reliable transportation to the Farm
  • Enjoy working with people
  • The ideal candidate will be able to lift 25 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and will have the ability to walk on a variety of surfaces
  • Please Note: A background check is required for this volunteer role
Time Commitment:
Come for one event, or come for all!

Volunteer The Trustees

This is one of our annual festival events. Roles may include food service assistant, parking attendant, and face painting (if appropriate). We will need someone to wear a rabbit costume, as well!!
