Pumpkin Carving Party - Naumkeag

Opportunity Overview:
It’s pumpkin party time! Join The Trustees at Naumkeag through the month of October to carve pumpkins for our Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show. We have hundreds of pumpkins to carve throughout the month, so we need your help! Each Wednesday, beginning the last week of September and running throughout October, we will be having a pumpkin carving party from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM. Sign up for one day or every Wednesday, carve one pumpkin or many pumpkins. Tools and templates will be provided for on-site carving, just bring your fun spirit and a few friends or the whole family. 
 
This volunteer opportunity is perfect for families, friends, and groups! If you can't carve on the available Wednesdays, but you're passionate about pumpkin carving and you'd like to help, let us know, and we can help support your passion for pumpkins.  
 
Reports to: Engagement Manager

Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to the following):
  • Carve as many pumpkins as your hands can handle!
  • Bring a fun spirit
  • Please notify staff 24 hours prior to your volunteer shift if you will not be able to attend, allowing other volunteers the opportunity to carve.
  • Sign up for any of the dates available.
Qualifications:
  • Fun Attitude
  • Nimble hands for carving
  • Availability during times offered
  • Previous carving experience preferred, but not required
Time Commitment: 
This volunteer opportunity occurs every Wednesday through the last week of October. It lasts for 2 hours, from 12:00 PM- 2:00 PM, you can come any time between those hours. You can commit to one day or multiple.
  • October 9, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM 
  • October 16, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
  • October 23, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
