Volunteer Partner to Volunteer Services

Opportunity Overview:
The Trustees Volunteer Services team is seeking a volunteer to join them as a consultant in the creation of an effective dispute/issue resolution process for the volunteer workforce. The Volunteer Partner will co-lead the development of this process and attend meetings with the team. This role will work closely with the Director of Volunteer Services and Human Resources to support the establishment of this process and a training program for volunteer managers.
 
This volunteer role is for individuals experienced in Human Resources, conflict management or staff training. The Volunteer Partner will have the opportunity to utilize their skills to build, implement, and maintain an issue/dispute resolution process.

This will be a remote role with virtual meetings and communication. As the current pandemic situation resolves, there may be opportunity for future in-person/on property meetings.

Note: this is an unpaid volunteer role

Reports to: Director of Volunteer Services

  • Volunteers will be required to wear masks while on Trustees property
  • Volunteers will be required to maintain proper social distancing
  • Volunteers will be required to wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon arrival to the property
Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to the following):
  • Regularly scheduled meetings with Volunteer Services team
  • Communicate effectively with staff and other volunteers
  • Co-lead work group on development of process
  • Co-lead development of training program
  • Adhere to The Trustees safety protocols
  • Log volunteer hours
Qualifications:
  • Professional experience in Human Resources, conflict management or staff training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly collaborative, organized
  • Enjoy working with people
Time Commitment:
  • Regular weekly meetings with Director
  • Meetings with work groups as needed
  • Some research time
  • 4-5 hours per week
