Garden Tour Guide Training - SCHG

Opportunity Overview:
The gardens at Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens in North Andover recently underwent a revitalizing expansion, and The Trustees is looking for outgoing and engaging volunteers to join us in welcoming visitors to the exciting new gardens. Garden Tour Guides will lead groups of visitors on tours of the grounds and engage them in conversation about the beauty, history, and importance of the Stevens-Coolidge gardens.

This opportunity is for individuals who enjoy talking to people and have an interest in gardens or gardening, local Massachusetts’ history, or Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens. Training will be provided, so no previous knowledge of the property or a green thumb is required, just an excitement to learn.

Tours will take place on select Saturday's at 11:00 AM for groups of up to 20 visitors. The tours will be 40-50 minutes in length and include a short 1/4 mile walk through the gardens on crushed stone pathways and grass. This volunteer opportunity is wheelchair accessible.

Training will take place Tuesday, June 6th at 5:00 PM in person at Stevens Coolidge House and Gardens.

If you are interested in this role and are unable to attend the training on June 6th, please reach out to volunteer@thetrustees.org.
