Opportunity Overview:
The Diversity, Belonging, Inclusion, and Equity (DBIE) & Community Impact Volunteer will play a key role in supporting inclusivity and equality within The Trustees as well as providing best practices to engaging with communities. Under the guidance of the Managing Director of Community Impact who leads all DBIE initiatives, the volunteer will assist with research, strategic communications, templates and tools development to support developing and implementing outreach methods to connect the Trustees with different areas across the state.
Note: This role may require the successful completion of a background check.
Reports to: Managing Director, Community Impact
Commitment: 2-3 days per week; approximately 10 hours/week
Note: This is an unpaid, remote opportunity

Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to the following):
- Document current community stakeholders and stakeholder engagement
- Research and outreach to potential community partners – DBIE focus
- Develop calendar and content for statewide social media channels
- Develop templates, infographics and presentations
- Support the internal Diversity Committee
- Collaborate with Volunteer Services team in promoting DBIE initiatives
- Provide weekly updates on current projects
- Adhere to The Trustees safety protocols
- Log volunteer hours weekly
Qualifications:
- Experience and/coursework in Diversity and Inclusion, ethnic studies, nonprofit management, and/or communications. etc.
- Organized, flexible, and able to multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Friendly, outgoing, customer service oriented
- Sensitivity and awareness of cultural differences
- Ability to speak multiple languages (a plus but not required)
- Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe and Windows and social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter and Hootsuite.
- Access to computer with reliable internet and phone
