WinterLights Event - Bradley

Opportunity Overview:
WinterLights is a family-friendly, visual evening time holiday light extravaganza! The evening will include something for the entire family – music, hot chocolate and maybe even a surprise visit from Santa. Come join our team to make this event a magical one for our community!
 
There are so many ways for volunteers to get involved, all in a COVID safe environment!

The Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate is a 90-acre country retreat located a short distance from hectic Rt. 128. The Estate will transport you back 100 years to a bucolic world of majestic homes, elegant gardens, carriage rides, fields and woodlands – all the amenities of gracious, turn-of-the-century living in the Neponset River Valley.

Reports to: Portfolio Manager and other Trustees Staff

WinterLights Event Volunteers:
From November 24th, 2023 to January 7th, 2024, volunteers are invited to assist staff with the WinterLights Event. Winterlights runs Wednesday-Sunday each week. Volunteers should plan on a shift starting at 3:00 pm and ending at 8:30 pm.
 
Event Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to the following):
  • Meet and greet visitors
  • Assist with parking and wayfinding
  • Assist with refreshments
  • Monitor the lights and decorations
  • Provide information about the Estate and the house
  • Educate the public about the goals of the Trustees and the benefits of being a Trustees’ member
  • Assist with set up and clean up nightly
  • Communicate regularly with staff
  • Adherence to Trustees Covid-19 safety guidelines and protocol
  • Sign-up for your available days
Qualifications:
  • Have reliable transportation to the Estate
  • Desire to meet with the public, and share knowledge of The Trustees
  • Excellent customer services and communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Experience working with the public (desired, not required)
  • Ability to walk on varying surfaces including grass, pathways and trails
  • Please note: volunteers must be 18 years old or older; a background check is required for this role
Time Commitment Needed:
  • November 24th, 2023 - Jan 7th, 2024  3:30 pm - 8:30 pm
