Events & Public Programs - Powisset Farm

Opportunity Overview:
Do you enjoy interacting with the public, making them feel welcome and comfortable? Do you have an interest in local and sustainable food? Would you like to be involved in farm-to-table dinners, picnic gatherings and other events at Powisset Farm? We are currently recruiting for motivated and talented volunteers to assist us during our farm dinners, picnics and other events.  Come enjoy this amazing property, assisting at 1 or 2 events, or all of them if you like! 

Reports to: Engagement Manager, other Trustees staff

Benefits:

Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to the following):
  • Adhere to safe food service protocol and personal hygiene requirements
  • Assist with set up and clean up, including the ability to lift tables and chairs
  • Welcome visitors, check in guests, answer questions about the Farm
  • Communicate effectively with staff and other volunteers
  • Sign-up for this event
Qualifications:
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Have reliable transportation to the Farm
  • Enjoy working with people
  • The ideal candidate will be able to lift 25 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and will have the ability to walk on a variety of surfaces
  • Please Note: A background check is required for this volunteer role
Time Commitment:
Come for one event, or come for all!
